About Greedy Steed
Greedy Steed is a small Australian business based in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. We have been designing and selling slow feed hay nets since 2013. We have spent years working with equine professionals to create the best slow feeding hay net on the market.
Why we started
Greedy Steed began when our beloved horse Timme came down with laminitis and needed careful feeding. At the time there were no small holed hay nets on the Australian market, so we started Greedy Steed and invented our own. Over several years the designs and materials evolved to become the nets we sell today.
How we make claims
Slow feeding is genuinely well studied, and we back everything we say with that research. Our health benefits page cites every source - university extension programs, peer-reviewed journals and veterinary references.
What we sell
A deliberately small range: premium knotless nets in 3cm and 4cm holes, full bale nets, a standard knotted net, and a twine cutter. Every net has polyester rope drawstrings in a contrasting colour, no metal parts to rust, and a biscuit shape that makes loading easy.
Where to find us
We ship Australia-wide with fast dispatch from the Adelaide Hills, and our nets are also carried by stockists around the country. Questions? We are real people and we reply quickly.
